About Optimizing Newborn Nutrition

What is Optimizing Newborn Nutrition?

  

Optimizing Newborn Nutrition is a two-year, hospital-based quality improvement initiative focused on increasing the percent of newborns who receive human milk as their first feeding.

Who is participating?

 All hospitals in Georgia with NICUs and/or Mother/Baby Units are eligible and encouraged to enroll. Currently, 36 hospitals are enrolled across the initiative - 27 in the active improvement cohort and 9 in the learning collaborative.
